About Perry

Perry’s IT career hit the ground running in 1994 when at the young  age of 18 he was asked to provide network capabilities to the City of Bandera’s Police Department and technical support for the Bandera County Attorney’s.  It was there that he gained 4 years of hands on IT experience and a genuine love for the IT field.

By 1997 he had enrolled in UTSA as a Computer Science major and began his first professional  IT position as the System’s Administrator  for Chapman Engineering in Bandera.  While there, he quickly became an asset to the company as he ambitiously set up an Ethernet network, designed an Access database and automated common office tasks.  Also while enrolled at UTSA, Perry offered a helping hand using his newly acquired skill set when he volunteered in UTSA’s computer lab offering technical support and assistance.

In 2002 after earning his A+ certification and Bachelor of Computer Science degree from UTSA, Perry was hired on at Bexar County, San Antonio as a Mainframe Programmer for the Criminal Justice Information System where he worked for 2 years and met his wife, Summer.  Opportunity knocked when in 2004 he was asked to transfer to Bexar County’s Planning and Resource Management department to gain experience working with the new  SAP County Human Resources Information System (CHRIS) .  After 2 years of training in an SAP programming environment, Perry was hired on as the SAP ABAP programmer for CHRIS (County Human Resources Information System) where he worked for the next 7 years.

With his feet firmly planted in his faith in Christ and a desire to pursue a lifelong dream of owning his own IT company, Perry resigned from his programming position at Bexar County in November of 2012 and together with his wife, launched HOLTech Computer Solutions on January 28, 2013.

Shortly after launching the business, Perry acquired a consulting contract with Bandera Electric Company and to make a long story short, he was offered a full time position we could not refuse!  Perry continues to repair computers in his spare time and Summer continues to maintain and create websites from home.

About Summer

I first developed an interest in Information Technology when in high school I attended a seminar hosted by Texas State Technical College.

Soon after graduating in 1999, I enrolled in Central Texas College in Killeen, TX.  While in college, I began dabbling with graphics design after a design course sparked my interest.  I designed my first logo and authored and illustrated a weekly newsletter for Trinity Worship Center in Copperas Cove, TX.

In 2002 after earning an Associates of Applied Science degree in Business Programming & Analysis, I was hired on at Bexar County in San Antonio as a Mainframe Programmer for the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).  While working as a programmer, I received additional training in Technical Writing, Project Management, Leadership & Supervisory skills, Team Building and Business Analysis.

After marrying Perry in 2005, I happily resigned my position at Bexar County to become a full time stay at home mom.  I began learning web design and continued sharpening my graphics design skills in my spare time.

In 2007, I got the opportunity to design a logo and create my first website for the Bandera Youth Soccer Organization, I continued to maintain the site for 2 years.  Later, as a favor to a friend, I designed a website for a local construction company.  My next two projects before starting HOLTech included developing a Homeschool Record Tracking application in Visual Basic for my own personal use and a simple Homeschooling BLOG (when blogs were not simple).

Since we began HOLTech in January of  2013, I have successfully designed and developed 5 complete websites in addition to maintaining 6 additional pre-existing websites.  I'm grateful for the valuable skills I have gained working with my clients and their projects.  I'm also exciting about learning the ropes of owning my own business.  I plan to continue expanding my skill set and taking on new project opportunities as they arise and as my schedule permits.  Currently, I work part-time from my home office.  My full time job consists of happily taking care of our home and our 6 children.  This journey hasn't been easy but the rewards have been worth the effort and I am excited to see what the future holds!

"A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold."  Proverbs 22:1
